how many hamster can you keep in one aquarium?

i dont kno how many i need help!
Answers:
It depends on the size of the aquarium. As long as have room to run around then that is fine. I had a 10 gallon tank with 3.. Be careful they do multiply.
NONE becuase they would DROWN
aah well you woouldn't keep them in an aquarium because that's just weird and it depends on the size. why don't you just get 1 hamster and put it in one. oh and if you get 2 makes sure they aren't the opposite gender because they eat their babies so then you'd have to get another cage thingy to separate them!
You must dislike hamsters. Sell them to a male gay couple as they have some sick ideas for rodents.
Well if your talking about a empty tank, make sure it isn't deep. You can only keep 1 hamster in 1 cage, tank or something. If you put 2 hamsters together, they will not get along. You may only put 2 of them together is when they are ready to mate. When they are mating, let them. (It has to be a boy and girl though) Then after they are done, take the male or female out. When the babies come, Don't put the male in. Don't touch the babies either. If you do, then the scent of the mom's babies will be different and the mom may attack them or abandom them. So yeah. Hamsters like everything to themself so only 1.

depends on how big the aquarium is dont it!!
small=not a lot
medium=a lot
large=an awful lot
it also depends on the volume of the water and the weight lenght and width of the hamster, anyway i was shite at maths so do your own working out and no calculaters
Loads. If you liquidise them first you'd probably get more in. I reckon one hamster per 50cc of aquarium.

%26lt;Sighs at the inevitable fact of not getting a top answer on this one.>
i dont know if you can keep hamsters together, all of my friends' hamsters that were put together would fight constantly.
"The two most common breeds of hamsters are Syrian and Dwarf. Syrian hamsters are solitary animals. It is not recommended to house more than one hamster per cage, even if they are the same sex and were raised together since birth. Dwarf hamsters are much more social and can be housed in pairs with a mate the same sex provided that they were raised together at birth. Do not keep males and females together in one cage as they either mate or will fight - often to the death."
"Syrian hamsters are the most common type kept as pets. These should be kept one to a cage (they will fight if kept together).
Dwarf hamsters (Campbell's and winter white Russian hamsters, Roborovski hamsters) are more social and are probably better kept with others of the same species, but they should be introduced at a young age.
Chinese hamsters are similar in size to the dwarf hamsters but is not a true dwarf hamster. Sometimes they get along with other Chinese hamsters, but often they do not.
Different species of hamsters should never be kept together."
only 1 if it's syrian--a pr of same sex ones if they r dwarf ones. syrians can only be housed 1 per cage no matter what the cage size. they r territorial loners. people often get 10 gallon aquariums but they arent big enough for even one. they will be quite miserable with a cage so small. best to buy a couple cages %26 attach them togther. some places have an extra level u can attach to the aquarium that makes them ok. u dont want a boy %26 girl even if theyre dwarfs because they will have lots of babies quickly. and they sometimes eat them--especially first time moms when they r too young. and if syrians u have to separate them so thats way too many cages. if u insist on an aquarium get a large one (at least 20 gal---the bigger the better) and make sure u buy a hamster ball so he can get exercise daily.
none. Aquariums are for fish. There is not enough ventilation in an all glass aquarium. Get it a good big cage so that it can exhibit natural behaviours like climbing the bars. If you are referring to the normal syrian or golden hamster than you cannot keep more than one anyway as they will fight to the death. Like moles they lead a solitary life and cannot be kept together. Russian hamsters however can be kept together.
I'm not sure they can swim.
the average u can have is about 2
or more
put a male and female together only
and u can seell the babes like an extra income
are you stupid
