how many animals do shelters rescue yearly?

Answers:
it really depends on the town size. i live in a rural area, they take in 100 - 200. if you want to know the local numbers, check our your local website. they might have the numbers on there, or you can sign up for a membership. depending on the size of the town, it'll cost $5 - $25 and each shelter has different benefits. I get the newsletter because of my membership, which has the numbers in it once a year. plus, it's another way of supporting the animals!
"Jefferson Parish Animal Shelters take in almost 20,000 unwanted pets yearly"

"Did you know that around Australia the RSPCA deals with more than 160,000 homeless pets yearly and, tragically, 50 percent of these die?"

"The Richmond SPCA adopts over 4,000 pets yearly and is the only full service humane society in central Virginia "

"The Escambia County Animal Shelter takes in almost 18,000 unwanted pets yearly, and in 2004 it had expenditures of $1,175,123. In 2004, 12,499 animals were euthanized in Escambia County."

I'm not sure if there has ever been a number for every animal shelter in the world, but there are some. It all depends on the area and the size of the shelter. Check with a local one, some may keep track or have an estimate.
well i dont really know sorry
what do you mean rescue?! If someone doesn't adopt a pet from the animal shelter for like 2 weeks the long the person from the animal shelter will give it a shot so it could die slowly
That is not a joke right becaues if it is that is not funny. Over like a thousand becaues of all the abuse and harm.. They have to be put to sleep..
In total in the US it is between 4 and 8 million yearly. There is not much documentation about the specific number of animals so we can't get an accurate number. About half of those animals are killed because no one wants them.
Depends on the shelter. Call them up and ask.
