how do you know what kind of horse to buy and you are an 11 year old junior jumper?

you are 11 and your looking for a knew horse for eventing you jump 2'-3' and you dont know what typ of horse to buy? (meaning what bread, what temperment, what size, and what age?)
Answers:
I would buy a Quarter Horse, they are GREAT all around horses, that you can jump and show with, and go trail riding and have fun with your friends. I would look for an older horse (10 plus), and 15 hands or taller. A "beginner" horse is always the best bet to go with. Always ride the horse you are looking at a couple of times before making your final decision though! Ask good questions! (Maybe take a trainer from your barn with you or a friend that knows a lot about horses!)
I'd get a Thoroughbred about ten years old, and has been well trained for jumping events. Probably, about 16 - 161/2 hands tall would be good, if you want to start jumping over 3 feet.
