How do you know how pets feel if they get there testicles chopped off?

Answers:
How do you know how a pet feels when they get their tails docked or ears cropped? These are cosmetic proceedures and have no medical basis.

Removing testicles can prevent testicular and prostate cancer, over pet population and granted it is extreem to prevent these diseases and problems.

However a dog will not sit there and ponder, " hmmm, lets see do I want more puppies, well lets see millions of unwanted puppies and dogs are dying in shelters, let me grab a condom."

So it is the owners responsiblity to provide proper care and prevention on these animals because they can't do it for themselves. And unless your going to put a condom on your dog every time he gets the urge to mount the neighbors dog in heat, then.. one should be a responsible pet owner and take the proper precautions (wether it be neutereing or a proper fence).. it up to the owner.

Too many irresponsible owners don't do anything about this problem there for millions of unwanted puppies and dogs are killed every year in shelters.

So if you are so conserned about how your dog feels about getting his testicles chopped off, think of those dogs and puppies who are being gassed to death, because of somebody leaving their testicles on their dog.
we don't need more dogs or cats in this world. more and more are getting killed in the pound everyday
think of it this way, how would you feel? Or if you've had the pet for awhile you should know it's personality and should be able to guess how they would feel.
You don't. Hell I know how I felt after a few operation %26 I had pain killers. I don't want to imagine what that fells like.
They don't use a cleaver. And they don't have to deal with the rejection when the girls aren't interested so I guess they're happier than the horny ones.
You mean pets getting spayed? My dog had to undergo that procedure coz we got him from the SPCA and it's a stipulation for him get to spayed if we wanted to adopt him.

He lost so much zest for life and gained so much weight after he got spayed. Even though my heart aches to see him change so much, we couldn't do anything to stop the procedure. But I'd rather have him spayed and let him enjoy the love showered upon him by his owners than to leave him in the dog pound.
You are anthropomorphizing if you think they have deep 'feelings' %26 'think' about it. They are pets. We have to make responsible decisions for them. We CAN %26 do know there are thousands of other pets being euthanized due to lack of homes. Therefore, we must chose for them - either do the responsible thing, or be part of the problem, contributing to future deaths.

p.s. If we let them have offspring, they also do not 'feel' bad when their 'children' never call, come to visit or send a mother's/father's day card. Nuff said.
With a 1200 lb. horse that is going to be ridden with other horses, I see the point, because I own studs. But a dog or cat, Its just irresponsible pet owners that are too lazy to tend to a female in heat. Or put a male in a pen if he roams at night. I have had neutered dogs, They act like they have nothing to live for. I don't believe in neutering or spaying dogs. If a pet owner can't control their dog, They don't need a dog to begin with!. I don't mean to step on any toes here, But pet owners should be more responsible for their pets. Not by taking their pride from them. but by being responsible for them!. Maybe we should start castrating deadbeat dads and rapists instead!
First off, they arent being "Chopped Off" but rather surgically removed.
Secondly, the overwhelming amount of unwanted pets and people who continue to allow their pets to breed is causing a tremendous amount of pain and suffering on animals.
They are put under an anesthetic and don't feel the operation itself, but I'm sure they're sore afterwards.
put a rubber band around your testicles and then post how you feel after they fall off;)
