how do you tell whether bunnies are male or female?

Answers:
If you put some slight pressure above the sexual organs you will see either a circle or slit. In an adult rabbit, it will be clear to tell what sex rabbit you have. The male has a circle shape.

The easiest way of sexing(finding out the sex) a rabbit is to hold the rabbit with the palm of one round the back of the rabbits head, with the thumb in front of the ears, and with the rabbit lying on its back on the operators lap. With the other hand, the thumb and index finger (or the index and middle fingers) are used to gently press on either side of the sex organ. At around six weeks of age, the organ of the buck will appear rounded whilst that of the doe will be slit-like or V-shaped. With increasing age these differences will become more and more apparent. With a mature buck the scrotal sac will usually be apparent, but it should be noted that the buck can withdraw the testicles into the body cavity, and the apparent absence is not therefore a completely certain guide. The sexing of newly born rabbits requires both experience and practice and except in special cases is unlikely to be required by the newcomer.
females are pretty and males are cute!! ; )
you shave it and look under its tail
you look at ther bits a female has a slit and a male has a small penis it sounds disgusting but you have to pull there bits apart a bit to see
look for bb s around its but
move the fur an find there area push gently on it if its male a little penis will pop out if not its a girl my husbands grandpa just showed us cause we have 5 6 week old bunnies an didnt know what they were so that we could keep the 2 we wanted an let the others go to there new homes good luck
Most of the answers you've been given are accurate - except you don't have to shave any of the hair. If you are new at it, it takes a bit of practice comparing the two genders. Unlike most of the rodent family, the rabbits are a bit more difficult to sex.
Girls usually have bumps on their stomach.
Below is a really good website for showing you how to tell whether a rabbit is a male or female.

You need to roll the rabbit over on its back. Just above the tail will be a little triangular shaped piece of fur. Place one finger on that piece of fur and another at the base of the tail and spread the two fingers apart. This should expose the rabbit's genitals. The female (doe) has a vagina which will look oval or triangular shape when it pops up. The male has a penis which will look round and cylindrical when it pops up. The older the rabbit is, the easier it is too tell. If the rabbit is a male and old enough the testicals should be present and make the determination very easy.

Also, a male will normally have a larger, blockier head than a female.

I've been raising and showing rabbits for over 24 years.
I was wondering the same thing when I had a rabbit. I took mine to the vet..and the doctor had just finished working with a female rabbit. When the doctor grabbed my rabbit, my rabbit sniffed his hand.and all of a sudden he started to hump it. His little behind was moving so fast..it was so hilarious. That's when we found out Thumper was a male.
