my mini rex's fur goes all curly and crispy in the rain, how can i best sort this out? also any other tips regarding the breed welcomed please.
Answers:
Don't let your rabbit get wet. Don't bath it either. Doing either will result in the natural oils being stripped away and your rabbit will compensate by producing more---which will, essentially, ruin the rex fur for a while.
You groom a rex just like any other breed---use a fine-toothed brush. You can also spray your hands with a LITTLE bit of water and rub them down your rabbit---this will remove dead fur and liven up the coat. Go against the grain, then with it.
by rexing it
I have one, too.
Use a mild baby shampoo and conditioner (like Johnson and Johnson) and comb out with a large tooth plastic comb (like a pick).
Why are you leaving him out in the rain?
Don't you mean sex rabbit?
Uh, first you comb it. Then you don't put your rabbit in the rain. Geez. You act like you care about your rabbit's looks, but then you leave it in the rain. That's not very nice.
