How do you get rid of johnny long leg spiders in your house?

Answers:
which is worse, spiders or spraying with poisonous chemicals? i will keep the spiders, they dont hurt anything anyway.
Spray for them. They sell different sprays at lows or walmart. You will have to do it one day when no one is home and no animals are in the house. We did it and didn't see any for like a year and a half.
In IL we call them daddy long leg spiders.
I thought it was daddy long legs.Sorry dont know !..
Do you mean Daddy long legs? I always called them that lol. I think they are actually ok as long as you dont have a billion of them because they will eat all of the other bugs in your house. but if you arent a spider person i would try those fumigators. it sucks that you have to wash everything afterwards though.

In Texas we call them.daddy long legs. Spray for them and make sure you remove any webs you may see on the ceiling or walls and windows.
First of all it is a Daddy Long Leg and second of all how did you not know that? What you do is you go to the Home Depot and buy a spider bomb make sure you get out of the house before it goes off. THE END
if there aka. daddy long legs all u need is a spray from wallmart or garden superstore
Check the humidiry level in your house. Spiders indicate yoo high moisture levels.
If there are only a few spiders, you can catch them by using a plastic cup to cover them and then sliding a piece of stiff paper or card board, under then rim of the glass. upend the glass while still covering it and release them outside. There are two spiders tht are dangerous. The black widow spider that is black with a red hourglass marking on their back, The other one is the brown recluse which has a violin marking on its brown back. They are not very aggressive but should be dealt with. The other spiders are not harmful. Most of them have fangs that are too short to pierce the skin. Sprayinf the house is more dangerous than the spiders. Hope that helps.
Dan.
