how is the best way to ask someone into letting you get a guinea pig?

Answers:
State all the good points:
1. Do extensive research and amaze them with your knowledge and facts.
2. Some to start: They are good pets and usually won't bite.
They are pretty low maintenece for an exotic pet, cleaning takes only 3-5 minutes a day.
They don't need much bathing or grooming, or cost much.
3. And some bad points: They can get pretty big so get a cage that fits.
Exotic Pet Veterinarians may be hard to find in your area.
They do need occasional supplements to maintain health.
4. Good Luck!
Just ask but be sure to reasearch this animal for getting one! Their diets are very specific and so is their handling! You should definately be sure to tell the person you're asking about the animal and it's care required. Glass cage or wire only, they will chew through plastic!
I would suggest that you put it on your x-mas list and wait to see if it happens
You should just ask. Guinea pigs are very good pets but they require special diets, they need to be held, require attention, and need exercise. They also need constant ruffage (I spelled that wrong, I think) such as celery, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, broccoli, things like that, because their teeth can get too long if they do not constantly gnaw on something, and that can be very painful for them. Also they have to have their nails clipped often, and their cages have to be kept clean always..Just a few things to think about, Good Luck!
if you want to ask your parents (or someone else), I would be responsible, and already have some ideas on how to care for one, so that person knows that you know what you are doing.
