Generally, a call to Animal Control will either get you someone experianced to come take care of it, or the name of a good exterminator you can hire to do it for you.
Since you have your horse to look after, I wouldn't recomend trying to get rid of the hive yourself - you never know if they could just come back or make another hive that may threaten your horse even more. In this kind of case, it's worth it to spend some money on a professional to safegaurd yourself and your horse.
Best of luck.
start smoking

they hate smoke

or get a big metal can and start a fire in it they'll go away
kill them with bug spray
bug spray
raid spray their nest.or bait them to a new nest or smoke them

fire works the best if youcan do it without starting agiant fire
you should try to remove the be hive and place it somewhere else.and if theres no be hive just place one somewhere.
One of our exterminator had suggested alcohol. Just spray it at the nest with a spray bottle or a squirt gun. He says it is a sure way to get rid of them.
your going to have to get the nest out of there,,early morning or late night is best, all the bee's are in the nest in-active,dress well for it and knock the nest into a paper bag, pillow case whatever, then burn it.
If they are honey bees call your local Bee keepers association. Otherwise Diazanon will fix em.
well i usedo had bees problem before , but now anymore . cus i just call the bees controlier to come over they taked over the bees . but if u dont want to call them you can just look around where the bee coming from alike if there are bee hive nesting on any woods or under your barn or roofs then just grab a boom stick and hit it so the bees nest can drop down and if you see any eggs killed them with useing water hose . or you can also use bug spray to make the bees leave .
can of brake clean and a lighter.
