how do u get a job at the vet?

can u start out volunteering or do u have to go to school
Answers:
If you are not a licensed vet tech (which involves schooling), you can get an entry-level job as kennel help. This usually involves cleaning cages and kennel runs, feeding and bathing the dogs and cats. You can also be a receptionist, answering the phones and making appointments.
Apply.no you don't hve to go to school but you should
What kind of job at the vet would you like? To become a veterinarian, you are required to have studied 4 years at a college and 4 years at a veterinary university. You will then need to pass the vet license exam. (in brief detail)
Like any other worthwhile vocation you might have to go to a special vets school, hopefully there might be one near where you live. stop in at some of your local vets and ask them in person..thats your quickest way
going to school ..is very extensive and costs a lot of your time, money, etc, but if you want an exciting career this would be a top choice!! You have to love animals of ALL kinds unless you choose to specialize in one type, such as small animals, or larger farm animals..i say go for it! and God bless!!
You don't have to have any training to clean cages and such but if you want more than that for a career then you will have to take a course like veterinary technician.
there is now a college program in Canada that allows you to take the vet tech course instead of going to University. You Can volunteer to start, but the likely hood of being hired on without any official training is slim.
you have to start off with training then a type of pet school, good luck with that crap.
It might be a good idea to start by calling an animal shelter to volunteer. This will be the same kind of entry level tasks and it would give you an idea of what you'll be in for.
Once you have decided what type of job you would like to do, you could vist your local career officer and they will be able to give you advice on qualifications and training you may need to college.
years of schooling
